François de Gaspé Beaubien

The youngest son of the de Gaspé Beaubien family, François obtained a BA with honours from Haverford College before earning an MBA with distinction at Harvard Business School in 1989. Because of his outstanding academic performance, he was recruited by the Phi Beta Kappa fraternity, one of the oldest and most prestigious academic honour societies in the United States.

After concluding his studies, François joined his brother and sister in assuming the role of co-owner of Telemedia, a company they inherited from their father. Several years later, the three siblings sold Telemedia in order to pursue more innovative business opportunities. In 2003, François acquired Zoom Media, an indoor advertising company. Since he joined the board and served as CEO, the company has experienced tremendous growth, with offices in Montreal, the USA, and the United Kingdom and over 80,000 advertising billboards, 26,000 of which are digital.

François is also executive chair of the board of Ayuda Media Systems, a software company known worldwide for its electronic billboard management systems. He is very involved in the industry and is a board member of the Traffic Audit Bureau (TAB), which provides standardized, reliable, and quantitative measurement of home audiences. He serves as chair of the board of the Digital Place Based Advertising Association (DPAA), an NGO seeking to foster the growth of outdoor media by bringing together market participants and providing information to buyers.
